Update from July 8, 2022: Yahoo and AOL have stopped supporting LSA passwords.

Yahoo and AOL.com removed the LSA (“Allow apps that use less secure sign in”) setting on all new accounts created after October 19, 2019:

On all accounts created before this date, the setting is still available.

Support of alternative (two-step) signup form was implemented in Yahoo creator (right one):

In the right variant of form, the phone number is requested on the next step. Prior to version 10.57, on this form MailBot produced an error about the impossibility of sending an SMS to a phone number.

Support of alternative unlocking account form was implemented in Outlook unlocker:

In the browser this form assumes a mandatory password change at one of the steps, but the Outlook unlocker in MailBot unlocks such accounts without changing the password.

Good news: on April 6, 2019, Rambler turned off the mandatory phone verification and returned the signup form with reCAPTCHA and an answer to the secret question.

Yandex checker is now able to handle the phone number request when entering the account:

Account creator and checker of AOL.com, one of the most popular email provider, was implemented!

Active POP3, IMAP and SMTP on aol.com domain is at your service. You need to receive one SMS (prices are from $0.02 on 5sim.net) and recognize one simple AOL CAPTCHA (well recognized by CapMonster 2) to create an account on AOL.com.

Important! AOL is very picky about phone numbers and does not allow all countries to signup and even not all phone numbers from the allowed country. Below is the current statistics on successful/unsuccessful signups from countries now available on SMS-verification services (updated January 31, 2018):

Allowed countries:  USA, China, United Kingdom, Latvia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan.
Prohibited countries: Russian Federation, Indonesia, Philippines.
Unable to test due to lack of numbers: Spain, Denmark.

AOL asks an answer to a security question every time you enter into the “Account Info” section by the Web, therefore it is recommended to check “Secret question answer” checkbox from the “Save additional data” panel on the “Export” tab.
