MailBot has been updated to version 17.4.
The “Settings” tab now has a new “Local DNS resolution” setting that allows you to bypass the blacklist of domains for SOCKS proxies on some proxy providers:
Now let’s take a closer look at what it is needed for and in what cases it can be used.
It should be noted that quite a large number of proxy providers have Outlook and Yahoo domains blacklisted because the legal departments of these corporations are quite large and regularly send letters to proxy proviers with threats. However, the new setting allows you to mitigate the problem for most of such proxy providers if they provide proxies via the SOCKS protocol.
Warning! The setting only works for SOCKS proxies! For HTTPS proxies, it will not be possible to bypass the blacklist of domains in this way and they will most likely not work at all with this setting enabled. Therefore, if you have HTTPS proxies, this setting should be disabled.
Let’s take RESI.GG proxy provider as an example. If you simply buy traffic, generate a residential proxy, insert it into MailBot and run the Yahoo creator, you will see the following picture:
Some might think that this is a MailBot issue, but by switching to the HTTPS protocol for the proxy, we will see the following in the session logs:
CONNECT login.yahoo.com:443 HTTP/1.1
Host: login.yahoo.com
...
and, in response to this request:
HTTP/1.1 403 403 Forbidden
X-Squid-Error: ERR_ACCESS_DENIED 0
Here you can clearly see that RESI.GG uses the popular Squid proxy server for HTTPS proxy, which is configured to block the login.yahoo.com
domain. Although the connection to the mail.yahoo.com
domain is not blocked and is successful, without access to login.yahoo.com
it will not be possible to create an account.
The proxy provider support will confirm the same thing to you in a personal conversation and will even provide a list of blocked domains:
*.playstation.net
auth.hulu.*
api.mojang.*
sony.*
pornhub.*
xvideos.*
xnxx.*
login.yahoo.*
paypal.*
login.live.com
outlook.com
As you can see, the list contains the login.yahoo.*
mask, which means that the login.yahoo.com
domain, which is necessary for the Yahoo creator to work, is blocked. However, by enabling local resolution of domains to IP addresses, we will send a command to the SOCKS proxy to connect not to the domain, but to the IP address, which allows us to successfully bypass this blacklist. To do this, you only need to check the “Local DNS resolution” box on the “Settings” tab. The result with the checkbox enabled on the same proxy:
As we can see, the work has begun.
Inbox.lv
The need to modify the system hosts
file to work with all domains has been eliminated. All entries for the *.inbox.lv
, *.inbox.lt
and *.mail.ee
domains can be removed from your hosts
file.
Also proxy judge from oxylabs.io added to MailBot 17.4.
